Across Missouri on Foxtrotters
The Missouri Ozarks are eroded ancient mountains south of the glacier line in the heart of Missouri's cattle country.  This state is famous for both mules and Foxtrotters, ranking sixth in equine population.  The world headquarters for the Missouri Foxtrotter Association is in Ava, Missouri with the registry for the breed going back to 1948.  Foxtrotters originated with the need for a sure-footed, easy riding horse which could travel in a smooth gait over rough country.  Riders will be amazed at the smooth speed and agility of these exceptional even-tempered horses.

Seven Days - Six Nights
At RS Ranch we feature home raised and trained Missouri Foxtrotters on 7-Day Trips "Across Missouri".  These trips cover 100 miles of beautiful country along the Meramec River during the spring and fall seasons.  Accommodations include comfortable guest cabins, peaceful Bed and Breakfasts, a working farms and ranches along the river.  Each day's ride takes you over new territory.

Your guides throughout the week will be Tanya Schoenbeck and Carol Springer.  They both bring years (more than they  admit) of experience in guiding, riding, training, and ranching.   Seasonal trail-horses are available for sale.
