Across Missouri
on Foxtrotters
The Missouri Ozarks are eroded ancient mountains south of the
glacier line in the heart of Missouri's cattle country. This
state is famous for both mules and Foxtrotters, ranking sixth in
equine population. The world headquarters for the Missouri
Foxtrotter Association is in Ava, Missouri with the registry for
the breed going back to 1948. Foxtrotters originated with the
need for a sure-footed, easy riding horse which could travel in
a smooth gait over rough country. Riders will be amazed at the
smooth speed and agility of these exceptional even-tempered
horses. |
